*MIC = the concentration of antibiotic that the organism is susceptible in micrograms. The rule of thumb is, if the physician can reach 2 - 4 times the concentration of the MIC levels in blood, then the antibiotic should reach proper tissue levels.
*Note: The antibiotic oxacillin is susceptible. This is not a MRSA.
